Observations: Not a bad week, huh.  Ha!  A big PR in the HM (albeit from a disappointing debut) and a solid benchmark to 2010.  Glad to erase that August experience.  Next up: a 5K in early March.  My weekly routine will likely go through another adjustment as I incorporate Tuesday night intervals and Thursday night tempo runs with the club.  One final training-related observation from yesterday’s HM –  most of my daily and medium distance runs (14 mile or less) all tracked around 8:30 pace.  I ran an 8:17 yesterday.  I’m looking for suggestions here, but that tells me one of two things – (1) I run my daily and training runs too fast or (2) I need to go harder on speed work.  Since my strength yesterday was not an issue, I’m going with (2).   More butt kicking from the club is on the menu.
