Observations: My first back-to-back 50-mile week!  November got off to such a rough start (25m for 1st week), that I needed 50 last week and this upcoming week to have a decent month.  It is obvious to me now that my increased strength (speed) is a result of the core exercises.  I feel it when I’m running … legs and arms are shouldering less of the burden … it’s all midsection.  No dramatic changes planned for this week … will switch Tuesday to speedwork rather than hills and work to hit that new tempo pace of 8:00 for a few miles this week.
